Firefox Campus Edition

Better than ramen noodles? So says Mozilla about its new Firefox Campus Edition. What makes it a campus edition? It includes the Zotero citation system developed by George Mason University’s Center for History and New Media that can help you mark and manage information online that you want to cite in research papers.

We know students are listening to tunes while online, so FoxyTunes lets you control almost any media player and find lyrics, covers, videos, bios and much more with a click right from your browser.

The campus edition browser is not all work and no play, though. It also includes a plug-in called FoxyTunes that helps manage the soundtrack to cram sessions, and StumbleUpon, a service to quickly jump among favorite blogs, online videos, and photo Web sites.

And you can join the 3 million+ StumbleUpon users with that toolbar to stumble upon websites, videos, photos and things online based on your interests.

Now, it's not like students couldn't have downloaded Firefox & added these plugins before, so the idea here is really to package it all together. Actually, if you already use Firefox, they recommend that you download FoxyTunes, StumbleUpon, and Zotero separately.
