Facebook Numbers

How much are Americans using Facebook? According to the March 09 stats from Compete, if you look at the time spent on a web site, Facebook is the top site in the U.S. by a large margin. Yahoo, Google, Live.com, and eBay follow in the top five.
  • Americans spent over 7 million hours on Facebook in March.
  • The Facebook Platform had 91 million unique U.S. visitors in March making Facebook the 4th largest site by reach in America (following Google, Yahoo, and Live.com).
  • Facebook saw about 1.5 billion U.S. visits in March, so the average user visited the site 16.8 times that month.
  • Facebook reports that 50% of users visit the site every day.
